Board down after common.php edit

What have you done before the problem was there?
Fresh board install, only calendar and portal installed. Everything working well, then I changed ucp.php per instructions here...
knowledge/kb_show.php?id=10

Checked functionality, working well, then decided to edit common.php per same instructions at...
knowledge/kb_show.php?id=10 (same thread).

I think I copied the common.php to the root instead of languages\en.....

Board started puking... getting this error message...

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare deregister_globals() (previously declared in /homepages/37/d176353860/htdocs/miobib/common.php:36) in /homepages/37/d176353860/htdocs/miobib/common.php on line 33

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
Restored both common.php from a file backup I made just hours before.

Restored the ucp.php from same backup.

Restored from PHPbb3 "restore" via ACP.

I simply cannot believe I'm having such trouble (not blaming Board3 Mod, I love this mod and thinks it's great_)

Since you just edited a few files, I would recommend asking on phpBB.com for support. I'm not too familiar with such error messages, but they might have come across this several times already.

I did post over there also, but just asking about the backup\restore function.
