does anyone know how i could place a code in a custom block to display the users ip address?

In the Admin Portal area insert custom blocks.

i have all kinds of custom blocks on our site, i know had to added the blocks but i cannot get the script to print the ip address in the block. the text shows up in the block but know ip address

Your IP Address Is
<!--#echo var="REMOTE_ADDR"-->
And Has Been Logged


in the block "your ip address is" and "and has been logged" with print in the custom block but no ip address


i can get the script working in and shtml page but not inside the block
