Re: info needed on database creation
You will have to run the installer. This will setup all necessary tables in your db.

Re: info needed on database creation
Try reading the install.xml carefully. The copy and DIY instructions.
For future questions please search the forum and read our knowledge base, before posting them: knowledge/Browse to install/ and run the installer

Browse to install/ and run the installer
i see the above line ,but unfortunatly it means nothing too me id prefer if it said
root/install/installer
but theres not such file
apart from root/install/install_install.php
so if i need too put this install_install.php file some where i dont know where it goes
sorry for my ignorence but i am new too this ,i have no problem with the edits and placing of the other files etc
i queryed my database
of a post on here which did create the 'php-tester.phpbb_portal_config' but stll found the error coming up

Re: info needed on database creation
it's very easy, just place the "install" folder in your root, then with your browser, point to http://www.yoursite.com/install and follow the onscreen directions

Re: info needed on database creation
Simply unzip the portal package, keeping the contained directory structure.
Browse into the the root directory of the package and upload all (including the subdirectorys / files) to the root directory of your forum (also keeping the structure). The root directory of your forum is where you find e.g. the viewtopic.php, config.php of phpBB3.
Then do it as FLATTOP wrote and you'll find the portal installer.
It should be simple as that.
