Have all files been uploaded correctly?

I uploaded b3pmchat To
To Ext >Talonos > b3pmchat

I just tested it again on a test site and still the same.

mchat works fine, but when I enable b3pmchat I get the errors.

I'm using mchat-2.1.2 , mChat.2.1.0.board3.extension with your dark_vision_2.2.5 theme

The correct path should look like this ./ext/talonos/b3pmchat, pay attention to the upper and lower case.

Sorry I typed it wrong in the post it is in ./ext/talonos/b3pmchat

Here is the error I get

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'public' (T_PUBLIC) in /home/nevespro/public_html/phpbbtestsite/ext/talonos/b3pmchat/b3pmchat.php on line 28

I was able to install version 2.1.0 without any problems. Did you install the current mchat extension?

This is what I installed

phpbb-ext-mchat-2.1.2
and then
mChat.2.1.0.board3.extension

Are there any edits that need to be done ?
because I just uploaded and enabled them

In /ext/talonos/b3pmchat/b3pmchat.php on line 28 I have only one blank line.

mines on line 29 aswell.

something has changed the file in some way when you have uploaded it.

you could try installing via the extension "upload externsions" and see if that works correctly for you.

Ok I checked and on my computer there is nothing on line 28 but when I upload it through ftp and bring it back the file has changed.
that's weird I don't know why.

talonos I don't see anything under extensions where I can upload files

So now it works
My ftp transfer setting was set to Auto

I tried switching it to Binary and that was it.
such a little thing can drive someone crazy.

I'm sorry for wasting your time BUT without this post and you guy's helping me I would probably never have figured it out

its an extension you can install that lets you manage and also upload/install extensions directly from the ACP

make sure to read the NOTE to make sure you get correct version.

I have it working great now thank you.
But just one more thing
Now that I have it on the portal is there a way to take it off the forum ?
I tried setting it to show on bottom but it still shows on top of forum

I had to Overwrite settings for all users
