4 columns in portal

hello

so i have board3 installed on a new phpbb 3.0.4 forum
i had a little padding problem (the left column was sticked to the left and the right to the right)
i didn't think it was a major problem, and that i could fix this with a few changes in the css.
but i didn't found the way to change this yet.

then i wanted to install this mod to have only a left side in the whole forum.

i think i followed every steps to install this mod
but now i have 2 left columns and 2 right columns on the portal
and on the rest of the forum, everything is working nicely, even the 'padding'

are those 2 problems related ?
any thing i have to check to fix the 2 left and right problems ?
any simple way to ad only a left column to the whole forum and both column in portal ?

i forgot to upload the edited portal_body file

now its working perfectly

better in the index and the whole forum than the portal itself as the portal dont have padding.
i will have to check where the problem comes from.

for the padding,
there seems to be a problem with the wrap div that doesn't contain the whole page like it is in the rest of the forum.
any idea where to check ?


also i'd like to have the index and topics with only a left side while the portal still have both sides and center.
is it possible ?
i only manage to remove the right side completely, but thats not what i'd like

no problem dude, we are humans, and my 3 posts above aren't very clear

in one word now my question is:
how can i get only the left side on index and keep the portal with both right and left side ?

i've found out how to do what i want.
if this may help someone, i just make a copy of the overall_footer.html and called it overall_footer2.html
then i edited the viewtopic_body.html and replace the last lign by this <!-- INCLUDE overall_footer2.html -->
so it will take that other version of the footer
and i deleted all between :
<!-- [+] right block area -->
and
<!-- [-] right block area -->
in that overall_footer2.html

so now the topics are showing without the right column and are less stretched for the low resolutions

it works like a charm now

Its fine if everything works now.

if you had a bit more time, you could save a lot of time, cause this is already in use for another forum i administrate.
