Admin Module shows links as {current_version) etc.

Post by mtcheerhugowaard »

Your Portal Version: 2.0.1
Your phpBB Type: Standard phpBB3
MODs installed: No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge
Boardlink: http://mtc-heerhugowaard.nl

What have you done before the problem was there?
I installed the board3 portal.

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
revert back to backup.. start install again.. and follow each and every step... no joy what so ever.

Description and Message
Hi After trying to install the portal twice now I still cannot get the admin part for the portal modules to show correctly. When I installed it in test it worked fine (older version) however now in a new environment I only get the variable names to show instead of the user friendly names..

they show like:
{ MODULE_NAME }:
{ MODULE_NAME_EXP }{ MODULE_RESET }:
{ MODULE_RESET_EXP }{ MODULE_STATUS }:Ja Nee{ MODULE_PERMISSIONS }:
{ MODULE_PERMISSIONS_EXP }

etc..
Can you help me with this?

in supplement to Kirk,
ur board default language is "nl". Board3portal comes with "en".
Therefore were portal languagefiles not found.
You should copy the portal language folder with all files from path "urforum/language/en/mods/portal/*.php" into folder "....../language/nl/mods/....
Userfriendly these files then should be translated (UTF8 without BOM).
Also is recommendable to begin with default style prosilver (not subsilver2).
I hope this was helpful.

For some reason the files where on the server and in the right location. I verified if it was the correct file and content.. it still wouldn't work.
I had both EN and NL language files installed.
I removed the files and reinstalled them.. now it is working..
Thanks for the help.
