Okay... where to start? The portal is great but have one problem and is quite a big one for me... I have some of my forums only viewable to registered members so within the portal section only topics viewable to unregistered members are showing.. This is fine, however it's the members that are important and it is them I would like to display latest topics to... so is there anyway that maybe the links to the news/latest topics could be shown for membes and un-registered visitors but when clicked on by an un-registered member will not display.....

Okay just had a thought that would solve my problem.... can I just have registered members view the portal and un-registered view the forum....?? is it possible...

Ice has implemented a feature (configurable in the ACP) to disable the permissions check for the news on the portal.
Some people have asked for that feature.
It will be in the upcoming version.

Thats good... But cant I just have registered members land on portal when logged in and un-registered land on forum where the permissions are more robust and able to deal with un-registered guests...
