the small problem i have is i want to make the portal my main page such as fourth-meal.com and then make the phpbb forum like http://fourth-meal.com/forum or something of that nature ive messed with it for a couple hours and couldnt come up with anything anyone have any suggestions or comments?

Install your Board in a subdirectory with the name of your choice and follow this guide to make the portal your mainpage outside of this directory.
