Adding a link to a topic from Portal Menu

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
Tried a number of different approaches

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a link on the menu to go straight to a particular topic. It doesn't seem to matter what I do it but it always acts as though I'm not logged on.
Any suggestions?

Did you use append_sid? If not, you will be locked out after clicking on that link if you don't have cookies enabled.

Is there a way within a topic to link to a specific page on the website? I'm getting the same issue, it's saying I'm logged out. I've tried putting the link in with the sid and without it all to no avail.

I think you would have to activate your cookies for that. I don't think phpBB adds the SID to links inside a topic.
