What have you done before the problem was there?
Good morning. I apologise for a very basic question, but is there an installation guide for complete beginners?. I have installed phpbb3 myself, and it installed fine. I would very much like to use Portal3 for my forum, but I simply don't have the experience to install it, as a lot of the instructions are beyond my understanding.
Examples:
The copying of files from portal to phpbb3, some of them say to copy to folders that do not exist in my php install, and some have *.* after them, and I have no idea what that means. Is there some way I can research all this, I have been reading the FAQ and forums for hours, and not found any answers.

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
I have tried doing what i thought was right like making folders in the phobb3 folders to take the board3 files, but ended up with a mass of errors.
I completely wiped my php install, and started again.
