The style author is PHPBB themselves.
I have no issue using SubSilver2 with PHPBB. My issue is getting it working under Board3 Portal because its modules are no longer offered with the extension itself.

When you mention the .htaccess file, are you referring to the one in PHPBB's root directory, or the main domain page located at "www.example.com"?
