Guest unable to see the portal

Hi, ive recently installed Porta1 2.0.1 and i am very impressed with its flexibility and ease of use..

However i cannot get it to be seen by guests, which is the main reason i installed the MOD.

I have checked in group permissions and it is checked so they CAN see it.

Ive left the modules viewing list unchanged so all can see.

I cant think of anything else immediate to do.

Guests are blocked off completely from seeing the rest of the forum, hence the portal install

Please use the ACP to track the permissions of Guests. There is usually a reason why a specific group of users can't see the portal.

I have checked all permissions and they DO have access as previously stated.

In Group permission it is checked they can see portal and in the portal settings them selves, they can see portal

The only problem that has now come to mind is when installing it failed at the first hurdle stating the umil file was out of dater and couldnt install. It pointed us to a new umil file (1.0.5)

which we installed and the installation went then without a problem

Possibly this fault??

Upon install the only problem we had was it stated the umil file was out of date and could not install. It gave a link to a new umil (1.0.5). we installed that and then the portal install went ahead with no problems and all files installed successfully

could it be this?

Problem solved, what an idiot i feel.

I had deleted the anonymous user (anon69) from guests group

She now works

Moral of the story....dont delete things panicing thinking its something its not
