Board3

Hello!
I've just installed Board3_portal_2_0_0b1 and it is just what I needed for my forum. Thank you very much for this great thing. But I've got a question. Has someone tried to use MOD Portalview for this version of the portal? The matter is that I want portal modules to be seen throughout the forum. This mod seems to be the solution but does it work with the latest version of the portal? By the way why not make such an option to be switched from ACP?

Noone replied so I tried to install it myself. As I expected it doesn't work on this version of portal. Maybe it's not difficult to make appropriate changes in the files but my knowledge of php is very basic. Would be great if someone could help me solve this problem. How to make portal to be seen throughout the whole forum? Thank you in advance!

Board3 Portal is a complete rewrite, so there is no chance that Portalview will work with it. The plans for portalview for Board3 Portal are currently on hold.

Indeed a Portalview for Board would be great for the new version!
It gives the Portal a far greater reach and would greatly enhance its use!
I hope it will not be too difficult to implement it with the new version.
Switching it on and off in the ACP would be the preferred way obviously, maybe for the final release of 2.0.0, or is it too complex??

I need the portalview addon updated, too.

I won't be updating until this is done. My user's are used to the blocks on the sides.

I am also looking forward to a portal view for version 2.0!

I'll go ahead and echo the above sentiments in being extremely eager for this particular mod. In fact, this is the only thing preventing me from updating to 2.0 on my main site. I have a big site update planned for next month and was really hoping to set up my forum using this mod.

If anyone has any plans to update this mod (or simply post changes to the 1.0 code that would need adjusted), I'd greatly appreciate it!

I would like to put a couple of blocks in a sidebar or instead of using the sidebar. I use http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 4&t=624715 to have a sidebar on the right hand side for adverts.

Would the portalview do that ?

Same here! No PortalView for v2.0, no upgrade to Board portal 2.0!

I'm ready to find an alternative too if there won't be any update for PortalView. Really, I like this mod so much and my users are used to portal view in hole forum too.

It would be great if PortalView gets includet to the portal as an option via ACP.
So the Site Admin can choose if he/she want's it or not

Hope there will be a PortalView version for Portal 2.0 soon.
