Your Portal Version: 1.0.0RC3
Your phpBB Type: Standard phpBB3
MODs installed: Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge
Boardlink: http://v2.ubermpower.co.uk

PHP Version: 3.0.8

What have you done before the problem was there?
Installed subsilver after board3 install

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
transferred portal files in theme / template to get portal to work in subsilver!

Description and Message
Hi there,

I have recently installed the latest phpbb version on a test server and now installing some mods, i installed board3 with automod and everything went great, at the time there was only prosilver installed, i loved the portal so decided to keep it, i've now installed subsilver and nothing worked until i added the portal files/folders into the subsilver style theme & template folders, only thing is there is no portal link next to board index link,

Another thing is when i tried to refresh the theme for subsliver it said: "This theme is stored on the filesystem so there is no need to refresh it." so not sure if something is missing from the database, as usually i get when refreshing theme with other styles is "Are you sure you wish to refresh the theme data stored in the database with the contents of the theme on the filesystem? This will overwrite all modifications which have been carried out with the theme editor while the theme was stored in the database."

So basically i'm missing the portal link but as far as i can tell everything else seems fine, not sure about the refresh if that anything to do with it but thought it was worth a mention!

Many thanks in advance for any help

MT :D

Quick update, i've done all the edits but still no portal link Image

Could you point out what part of the edits is the portal link please?

I tried refreshing Template / Imagesets / Theme which as i said in my first post the template and Imagesets refreshed but the Theme wouldn't refresh, i purged the cache through the acp and i also deleted everything but the .htaccess and index.htm using ftp, everything is still working perfect but the portal link!

Sorry about this i thought doing the edits would of been the last you heard from me on this issue! :?

Appreciate any help you can give me with this!

MT

So so sorry to be a pain i tried to look for the relevant info but I am Usless :roll:

I've installed some more styles and the ones subsliver based i managed to sort out no problems but one of them is prosilver based, again got everything working on the face of it BUT no portal link......

If you could point me in the right direction again i would be VERY grateful :D

Again soz to waste your time!

Cheers MT

p.s

Is this the correct edits in overall_header to get portal link to work?

FIND

Code: Select all

<div class="navbar">
Add before

Code: Select all

<!-- IF not $S_IN_PORTAL or S_DISPLAY_PHPBB_MENU -->
And there is another two after that need edits!

Code: Select all

<!-- IF U_PORTAL --><a href="{U_PORTAL}">{L_PORTAL}</a> &#187; <!-- ENDIF -->

Code: Select all

<!-- ENDIF -->
