Description and Message
I want to have a custom block on my portal that just contains the one global announcement that I have created. I have checked various other posts relating to custom blocks but haven't found anything that helps. I have looked at the code for the Global Announcements block and this didn't help (this block shows normal announcements as well as global ones).

So, no ideas?

Since this block is entitled "Latest Global Announcements" it should only display global announcements. Also, I would like it to display them in order of "Last Post" not "Date Posted".
