View New Posts/Mark Forums Read

I edited index.php to change the mark forums read from trying to reset forum.php to index.php

Description and Message
As of yesterday everything was working fine, I'm not sure why it's not now. But, earlier today I clicked on view new posts and scanned them then went to the board index to click on mark all forums read. It gave me an error I quickly saw that it was trying to mark forums.php instead of index.php so I went in and changed that. Now when I click on mark forums read it says that all forums have been marked read, but when I go to the portal it still shows that there are 7 new posts. Before it would reset and not show any new posts unless there was new posts. I tried doing a search but couldn't find any answers to my problem. So hopefully someone can direct me to the right place, or let me know what I'm doing wrong so I can fix it.
