Couple of simple questions !!

Just installed this on a test forum, and now have a couple of questions !!

1. My forums are only viewable to registered members, so latest new and recent posts appear blank until I log in.
Any way around that ??

2. How do I move blocks around ?

3. How do I add a new block ??

I have portal on my phpbb2 forum and would like to try and get a similar feel.

Thanks

Hm, but that's what it's meant to be? I mean, if one can only view postings if logged in, why want you change it? (Have I got you wrong?)

Open and edit /styles/*yourstyle*/template/portal/portal_body.html

Using my current phpbb2 portal I show recent topics and posts.

The recent topics show the following:
»» SUBJECT ««
Post subject: SUBJECT
By: AUTHOR
Posted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:38 am

The posts shows:
The subject, author, date & time and upto 100 characters of the first post.

This is shown from every forum, even those where they have no guest access.
If you try to view any replies to the posts or view the recent topic you get asked to log in.

This can be seen here: http://www.medionsupport.com/phpbb2

Thanks :)

Anyone any ideas on this ?

I know the issue is caused by guests not having read access to the forum..

However this used to work with phpbb2 & ezportal. I can post the code if it will help :)

You'd have to modify the blocks/recent.php to ignore permissions. If you don't mind waiting you can request it as a feature under Bug-Tracker to the left.
