Force users to Portal?

What have you done before the problem was there?
What have you already tryed to solve the problem?

Hi
How can I force users to only see the portal page when then load up the forum? My .htaccess is set correctly I believe, but whenever I log in on a different computer, it shows the index page and not the portal?
