Cant modify board3.portal

What have you done before the problem was there?
Problem has always been there since installing portal (first install failed, so removed it all and on 2nd attempt it installed)

What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
deleted and recreated the portal,

When i installed the portal the 1st time it failed, succeded on 2nd attempt, so i tried to configure it but no matter what i change in the acp it doesnt change what displays in the portal,

Looking for any advice possible

have now upgraded to 1.0.6 and error still presents itself, the portal has all my modules showing but when i go to admin panel even if i turn every block off the portal page doesnt change, also noticed since upgrade 4 or 5 of the block options in the acp come up no mode specified ! any one have any ideas?

I would suggest you open the install and click on uninstall.
Afterwards make sure to purge your board cache and run the installer again. If error messages appear, please post them here.

thanks marc, i will try that and purge the cache etc and see if that makes any difference,
