my site is a fan site / community for fans of the band halestorm, i dated the lead singer, the bands about to drop their debut album through atlantic records on april 28th, been followin the band for 10 years, close with them and now they've finally done it, on tour with shinedown and trapt at the moment. check it out, highly customized phpbb3 site with modified portal!

ahh yes, the users of my board will not be interested in setting up their own board, therefore portal link is no use to my members and could cause confusion, they'd end up at portal site with no idea why lol.

That's not the point.
The credits have to stay there to show that this great portal system is made by board3.de. If you made something big you also want people to know that YOU are the one who invented it.
Board3.de let us download this mod for free in return for leaving their hint to their site at the portal page. Right?
