im looking for a way to feature the first post in the latest topic, with [img] tag support, on the portal page, like most gfx sites have for sotm (signature of the month), for example, the winner of every sotm gets their sig featured on the front page, until next sotm, or a way to choose a image featured in a block on the front page.

there is a problem, i don't know a word in german, or whatever it's written in (i recognize a few occosional phrases, but not enough to read it all)

Raghy, I am only english speaking as well, to get the most out of here I use http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ and select "german to english" gives you more than enough of a chance to get on with the job

I find Google Translate more reliable, but that may be a personal preference.
