I've got a strange problem with the News Block when using the damaïo style, If you look at the thread you'll be able to see that the 'custom style' has been added into the portal style folder.
If a guest looks at the portal it all displays perfectly, but if a user logs in then the News Block shows a scrambled icon next to news posts. The style author has advised: 'The custom style file is not loaded into the extension.'

If you have any suggestions on how to fix it, it would be appreciated.

Test with style prosilver whether the problem exists there too!
If you mean the point above the icon, then the style is to blame.
The point should then also be visible for various topics in the topic overview.
It's the same with me with the style without the portal! The same subject with the point.
Not all topics have the point above the icon.
Please contact the style author because the problem exists in the forum's overview of topics, even without the portal.
