Changing order / position of blocks?

Is it possible to implement a way to deside where the different block should show in the portal like, left or right side and in wich order ?
We're working on a system to move them from the ACP, no date on when it will be ready though as we're currently working on getting the current features locked down in preperation to release version 1.
Currently you can edit /styles/<style>/template/portal/portal_body.html to move the blocks around.
