Description and Message
I need to get the installation process clear. When I upload the contents of the root folder into my phpbb root, my ftp client asks if I want to overwrite a bunch of files such as in adm, includes etc. Is this okay? And if so then I point my browser to install/index.php? I'm assuming that I then make all the required edits afterwards.

Board3 Portal does not add any files that will overwrite phpBB's files. If the files are already there, then you probably had a different version of this or another portal MOD installed. Overwriting those files shouldn't cause any problems. Still, always make a complete backup of your files and database to be sure.

You have to edit your files before running the installer.

Okay, great. So then I could make all the required edits first (on my computer) then upload the edited files to the root of phpbb (to their correct places) on my server and then run install/index.php? That I can wrap my head around.
