your selected post in Portal Page, yeah good idea, this was raised on phpBB.com a week ago I think for an index_body mod but we need a mod author to write it, I am not sure it exists - either here or on phpBB.com

I like the idea though have you seen RANDOM POST this is pretty close to what you want and looks good
