Table Design Issue

What have you done before the problem was there?
What have you already tryed to solve the problem?
Description and Message
My Portal looks like this : http://www.sonyreaderboards.net/portal.php
I need it to look like this: http://www.m109tech.com/
Basically, I need table structure because mine looks messy and I don't know to add that.
Also the Latest News style, I need it to look like that but without the 1st 2 columns since my board width is smaller than his. I have been to the News ACP and tried both yes & no for the compact news block style and it does not look right in either mode.
