Special PHP script for tests

Is there anywhere a PHP / Sql script for test Sql queries and such things?
The idea is to test a server before uploading forum,site etc
One can test how fast queries done in Sqlserver and even better having some kind of traffic test too (downloading lots of small files to test browsing speed).
Maybe this a weird question.. you think so?
