Would like users who want to reply with comments to a section of forum i run that needs to be approved first to not be monitored for comments. Only when users want to make a post in a section that requires approval can do so.



Want people who would otherwise require approval to not have to have post approval when replying to a topic where the topic starters post had to be approved

I don't understand what you want.

You'll have to properly set up the forum permissions for your Newly Registered Users group in that case. This doesn't have much to do with the portal as the permissions themselves are handled by phpBB itself.

What I have on my forum is a section where I the admin can make posts that doesn't need to be approved.. But, when a non admin makes a post it needs to be modded by me which is great.
If a regular user wants to comment under my post that comment needs to be approved which I'd like to get rid of, but keep the permission as to if the regular user wants to make a post that needs to be approved..


Regular User / Non Admin

Make Post = Modded by Admin
make comment = doesn't need to be modded.

Well this does.. how can I stop seeing comments on the portal I'd rather just see the users post that's it. but when someone comments those comments get shot to the portal
Before it used to show cover art and information now once someone comments it says the comments. I do have it set up to take the news from certain sections of the forum to post to the main part of the portal page but is there a code or something i can stop seeing the comments
