Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
yes, the portal's SQL tables are different and the way to the installer input's info into the SQL tables is also different. without a complete overhaul the installer will not work for phpbb3portal as it was never designed for that system, in fact it wasn't even around when the mod ran on that portal.
btw upgrading to board3is simply they have an installer that will convert your phpbb3portal to a board3 portal. nice and easy.

Ok thanks Tek, I will try it, but I think I screwed it up when I went to upgrade my portal to board3 so I have disabled the portal temporarily. I am in the process of trying to fix it now.Teksonic wrote:yes, the portal's SQL tables are different and the way to the installer input's info into the SQL tables is also different. without a complete overhaul the installer will not work for phpbb3portal as it was never designed for that system, in fact it wasn't even around when the mod ran on that portal.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
I was informed by a guildie that some of the Ulduar bosses don't have Hard Modes, so I was right in an early version of the mod, but very much incorrect on the which bosses. So in the next version I will be removing some of the Ulduar: Hard Mode bosses. As listed below.
Ignis the Furnace Master
Razorscale
Kologarn
Auriaya
If you disagree with this list, or have someone to add that i'm missing please let me know.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
Ah, it still works fine.
The recruitment block broke because when updating it...I had to replace files which had the code for the recruitment block, totally forgot there was code for it within those replaced files lol.

i am still running phpbb3portal and your old mod. but it's time to update and move on. i am filled with joy that upgrade instructions are present to make the step from phpbb3portal to board3, but how would that affect my current installation of the old progression block? how can i 'update' that one? or do i need to remove the old installation of progression block (how?) and install the new one?
and would you happen to know if i can keep my current wow recruitment block installation?
thanks in advance.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
all good questions.
Unfortunately there is no way to 'upgrade' the block from 'phpbb3portal' to 'board3' portal. I never wrote a converter to do it. the best thing to do is go back through my install and remove everything, plus delete the files. the good thing is the new block is much easier and faster to install then the old phpbb3portal one.
AFAIK You would need to do the same for the wow recruitment block.
Now to easy your mind these mods won't break the new install of the board3 portal they just won't work at all. Personally I would always advise going back and removing them before doing the conversion from one board to the other. Really just follow the install instructions backwards and you will be fine.
@ Everyone
As a side note since blizzard has started releasing information on the new Icecrown raids watch for a new version of the mod soon, once I know all the bosses and there kill order, whether they have hard modes etc. As always there will be a very easy (automated) upgrade for anyone running a lower version of my mod.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
In the adminpanel of the raid progress block some of the dropdowns do not keep the amount of the killed bosses (Archa25, Trial of the Crusader (Hero 10+25). They always switch back to 0/5 ... on the frontpanel everything is fine.
Is this a bug or an error in my installation?
Edit:
Ok I see the error:
"includes/acp/acp_raid_progress.php" Line 524
the values in option 3 should be "3/3" not "2/3"
There are many other places where the option value is set wrong.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
Hey there.
Okay so I've had some trouble getting Board3 and this add-on installed but seems like I was able to succesfully get both installed now and everything with my forum seems to be running fine.
But one problem...
This add-on doesn't seem to be working. In the ACP when I Goto "main options" it returns the following error:
Any one care to help? I'd really, really love to get this and a few other add-ons working to get my guild site put together. Previously used vbPortal and since making the switch I've been killing myself trying to get this going, haha.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
that's an easy fix. your server is blocking file gets and the version checker use's them to check my site for new version's of the mod.
Three things to check.
1. Make sure to upload the php.ini file that was included in the package? This should turn on the "allow_url_fopen" that the mod needs.
2. Ask your hosting company to turn on "allow_url_fopen".
3. Last but not least. Open: includes/acp/acp_progress.php
Find:
Replace it with

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
Tried re-upping the php.ini and that didn't do it so I just went with option 3 and commented out the line.
Worked like a charm.
This won't effect anything, right?
Just checks for updates or something of the sort? Or what?
Btw, thanks for the help + add-on, it's terrific.

Re: Raid Progress Block w/ACP
always glad I can help. You don't have to worry that line only made the version checker work, it has nothing to do with the mod itself. So commenting it out will not cause any issues.
glad you like it.
Also for the new people using the mod, If you want. Include your guild websites in here and i'll get them added to the original post.
Also if your real lucky I may release the raid planing and tracking mod I'm building.
