"Links" block help needed

Description and Message
My requirement is to open links in a new window (which situated on "Links" block), how can i reach such a thing i did edit the links.html ------> <li><a href="{link.URL}" title="{link.TEXT}" target="_blank">{link.TEXT}</a></li> i have added the new line which is target="_blank" it worked on early version (1.0.2) but now it wont work why is that???
need a explanation and a solution.

I'd say: simply purge your board cache. Or you forgot to upload the changed file.
There has nothing been changed in this block functionality.
