Can't install

Installed the baord using the instal file included in the zip file

Ok, i tried to isntall this board.

I followed the .xml file included and nothing worked, my forum stayed the same, even after a purche cache

When i tried to delete it i noticed some folders are protected and i couldn't delete those..

Is there somewhere a easy step by step guide on how to install this??

I couldn't acces this btw:
Browse to install_portal/install.php and run the installer, after successfull installation delete the installer.

Then you probably didn't upload the files as instructed.
Open an FTP client like Filezilla and connect to your website. After that browse to the part where your phpBB3 forum is located. In the left window, open the root folder of the board3 Portal package.
That's the way it should look now:

Mark everything in the left window and upload it:

Now, you'll just have to do the edits as instructed in the install.xml. As mentioned in the KB, always make backups before editing your files.

I found the problem, i tried to install it using automod.
Now i tried manual and all works perfect


Now let's find a shout box and i'm happy

I too am having similar problems. I've uploaded the files through Filezilla for the portal.
I've also added the updates to files mentioned in the install.xml file.
Yet when I go to http://www.mydomain/phpbb/install_portal/install.php I get this error.

"PInUp Error
You must be logged in as an admin."

Even if I am logged in as admin, I continue to receive this error.

Any help would be great!

Problem solved, needed new install.php file.

Am I correct that it could/should also read:
If you follow the above uploading instructions then disregard the "Installation Instructions for 'board3 Portal' Version 1.0.2" having to do with manually FTPing each folder and file listed in File Copy.

If not, then this could be my problem as described here:

I now have Aero Blue 1.2.9 and Board3 portal 1.0.2 installed on our working phpBB 3.0.4 forum. I refreshed the Template, Themes, and Imageset and cleared the caches, everything looks good except that I'm missing the borders aound the Menu and Clock, etc. http://www.comcom121.org/phpBB/portal.php. So close.

I was successful in getting the same configuration to work on a test forum.

Just follow the instructions stated in the AeroBlue.xml in that zip-package.

After the edits, refresh your theme and template again.

Hi Mark,

That's where I got the last one I tried. It doesn't say on the page what version it is, only when it was last modified 01.02.09. I downloaded it and when I dbl click/right click the xml file I get

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Access is denied. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Users/Kerry/AppData/Local/Temp/Temp1_AeroBlueVunklastmodified01.02....

Other xml files open fine as web pages.

One thing I didn't mention is that from the portal view when I select either Subsilver2 or Prosilver Board Style they both have the borders.
