well to see it properly you would need to have the edited files already loaded prior to installing. exspecially the ss2 files if that's the style you're using.

looks like you have did one of your edits incorrect. recheck all your edits. if your style doesn't use the same tags as the styles edits, you'll have to change them lines to look like your styles tag.

i can say, if you atleast look at phpbb3 then you'll see that it's using tag words in html. instead of tpl files which was and is the best way to do things. this new stuff is pretty simple if you look at it. it uses alot of tags all calling from 1 main file which is shorter and easier. i am old scho...

On X-Treme theme could i just use the subsilver edit and install this portal on it or, would i need to follow the tags that theme uses.

that's ok. the way i understood his question was that he has his site in a sub folder like pic shows 3 sub folders. http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/8008/96776259sb6.jpg as you see it wouldn't be possible due to the fact i already have a site installed at the root. that would redirect my main site...

that's how it works when you visit your sites main url you will get the main portol page then when you click board index or forums in the block you'll go to the forums. now if you have your site in a sub folder no it wouldn't be possible getting it to work unless it's in the root of that sub folder....

It's pretty simple. open the portol folder, inside you will see a folder called root. open that root folder. from there just upload the files/folders that don't match your forum folders. Prett simple any folder you see matching a folder you already have open it up and move the files within into the ...
