Is it possible using Portal view to just have some blocks on the index, and no where else on the site?

Ok, unlocked board and made the style I'm having problems with default

Done everything you've said there. It's still happening. I've even increased the width of the forum in general through common.css, thinking that might be the problem but still no luck.
