Aha! One way is in the address bar, e.g.: x= a number which is the forum ID.

How can I view Forum ID's so I can get an application submitted to the correct sub-forum. Ta.

The solutions to this problem seemed elementary so I was gutted when they failed.

Then I tried Ctrl-F5 (to force a page refresh) on the portal page and remembered that the browser has a cache too. Worth remembering before you make a post in this thread
