Have you tried going to ACP - Styles - Image Sets - Edit - In the drop down menu make sure Main Logo is shown - then browse through the images to find your one. If its no there then upload to the correct folder..

Blocks right site need to be moved to the left or the template made wider to allow more room for the blocks on the right, at the moment they are about 30 px wide..

Just duplicate the news block, rename it to what ever you want..

Then, add To your portal_body.html where you want it to show..

It takes a while to theme your style how you want it, it took me 2 days to get mine looking how I want it.. Best way, take a screen shot of your home page.
