Large font after installing.

Post by HowToMake.nl »

I have a little (big) problem...
Since I have installed Portalview 1.0.0RC3, the font size below the navbar is bigger! :?
I think it happens cause I use another style then Subsilver2 and Prosilver. 610nm is the name.
I had problems while installing by changing the overall_header.html (I think the problem is in that file somewhere),
cause the code:

Code: Select all

	<br style="clear: both;" />

	<!-- INCLUDE breadcrumbs.html -->

	<br />
<!-- ENDIF -->
isn´t used in the overall_header.html...

Can someone maybe tell me what I have to do?

Here is the url: http://howtomake.netii.net/forum/portal.php http://howtomake.netii.net/forum/index.php
I know it´s a free webhost, but it´s in the test-fase. And also sorry for the Dutch text and bad english.

Try putting the edit in overall_header.html at the end of the file and in overall_footer.html at the beginning of the file.

Thank you for answerring, I immediately changed it, (in the overall footer it was already there) but now nothing had changed.
Actually, it was better before, cause now, all is standing under the background.
Can someone help me further?

Does no one has the same problem? Or another problem with a large font? I hope someone could help me soon, cause I was planning to get my site live this month.

Thank you for looking at this topic and maybe for your help.

You obiviously destroyed pretty much the whole overall_header.html. I don't know why you did it but the overall_header.html is missing big parts that are necessary for the style to work. I suggest you go back to a clean installation of the style and only edit the parts that you are supposed to edit.

But i´m sure it´s in the overall_header, so why should I need to the whole style?
This is so, cause I took a new overall_header.html (the real-uneditted-style), and put it in there, but this is the result; nothing!
I also tried to work with another overall_header.html, that one from the subsilver2 style. But that didn´t really worked, all was gone...
Maybe do I need to contact the designer?

Ty for answerring

Compare your uploaded overall_header.html with the one from the 610nm package. You'll see that about 50 % of the actual overall_header.html is missing.
